Spring concert “Alice in Wonderland”

Our Annual Concert 2018 production was the classic Lewis Carroll tale of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Over twenty students took place in this year’s whole school production. The plot followed the journey of young Alice (Vera K.) who leaves her boring lesson to follow the incessantly late White Rabbit (Anna H.) down a hole and into the magical and fluorescent world of Wonderland. At first Alice meets the ‘Golden Afternoon’ a garden of talking flowers. They were not very friendly but their acting and dancing were wonderful! Thank you to Marusya, Eduard, Andrew, Anna, Kostya, Maria and Dasha.
In the wood, Alice (Vera T.) comes across a Caterpillar (Sergey) sitting on a mushroom. He gives her some valuable advice. Vera next meets the Cheshire cat (Kate M.). The cat warns her that everyone she meets will be mad. They are so mad that our Cheshire cat breaks a chair in front of the audience.
After Alice goes to the March Hare's house, where she is treated to a Mad Tea Party. Present are the March Hare (Anna G.), the Hatter (Kate M.), and the Dormouse (Catherine S.). Ever since Time stopped working for the Hatter, it has always been six o'clock; it is therefore always teatime. Girls gave an energetic and admirable performance. We all had a lot of fun!
We congratulate the students in their ability to work together, encourage, motivate and value each other’s abilities and strengths.
Thank you to teachers and parents who have worked tirelessly to ensure, that, songs and script lines are learnt, props and costumes are ready, and that all students enjoy the wonderful experience of performing to family and friends. THE CONCERT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
